Aside from the more generic youth and community work jobs that Tom has had, he worked for seven and a half years as a Youth Arts Worker at a secondary school in Kent.
Planning, delivering and evaluating a wide range of exciting and innovative youth arts activities, accredited lessons, cross-curricular work and community projects, during the school day, extended day, holiday clubs and residentials in the U.K. and abroad.
Through his experience as a nationally qualified youth worker, Tom is skilled in fundraising, project management and producing detailed and timely reports.
Tom is qualified and experienced in delivering and assessing a range of accredited youth arts work courses:
The Arts Award
(Bronze & Silver available throughout England and Wales)
Level 1 Sports Leaders Award
(using circus skills as the sport)
Duke of Edinburgh Award
(using circus skills in Bronze Skills section)
Youth Achievement Awards
(Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum)
ASDAN Activity Short Course Award
Tom has driven minibuses throughout his youth work career (and a double-decker bus) and has a D1 on his driver's licence, so it's fairly easy to renew his MIDAS licence, should he ever need to transport young people while working on a project.
