Drama Workshop for Schools

Suitable for Independent, Primary, Secondary & 6th Form.

Over the last 25 years, Tom from TK Arts has run hundreds of drama workshops at many schools across England and Wales.
From a 2hr session, a whole day or a week long course at half-term to a weekly, after-school project that spans a term or more, our drama workshops for schools can be tailor-made to suit your needs.

Drama Workshop: from 2hrs for 5yrs+

With a strong focus on strengthening group dynamics and building trust, participants will explore characterisation through group games, hats, improvisation, mime and role-play. There will be an opportunity to perform sketches at the end of the workshop.

Play In A Day: whole day for 5yrs+

More in-depth than the Drama Workshop, including developing story-telling and tableau skills. You may have a theme in mind or it could be decided by the group.
Children will work towards performing a play or a series of sketches at the end of the day.

Anti-Bullying Workshop: whole day for 11yrs+

After establishing a safe environment through ground rules on confidentiality and respect, the young people will explore issues around the emotional/mental aspects of bullying, such as intimidation, name-calling and teasing.
Through improvisation, mask work, sensory games, tableau and trust exercises, the young people will explore and learn about different ways to combat bullying.
Using Forum Theatre, they will debate, discuss and role-play these issues and learn and explore a range of assertive techniques to change outcomes. A short piece of Forum Theatre will be performed at the end of the day.

If you let us know how many classes you have and the number of children in each class, along with your day’s times (start, break, lunch, end of day), we will devise a structured programme of learning for your Senior Leadership Team.
