Excellent range of skills, expertly taught, friendly and good control of exuberant children. Kept children involved. Good finish, will invite back.

Tom knows how to get them engaged/involved. Most were enthralled. The members listened well to the instructions and concentrated on learning new skills. They were unhappy when it was time to pack up! I would recommend Tom to others and would certainly have him back.

Through Young Kent we were able to book Tom for an evening Circus Skills Workshop for our Youth Club members. The children are aged 9-14, and everyone took part in trying almost all of the activities Tom brought to us. There was much laughter and fun had by all, including some of the leaders who just had to have a go! We found Tom to be very good with the children, was patient and also able to hold their attention in the work groups. He provided a great variety of activities for the children to try and we would recommend his services to other youth organisations for a fun evening.

Tom has a tangible passion for his art. He has the ability to ‘connect’ with young people (and old) and to generate the enthusiasm to participate. I have watched him persuade a senior Council member (in a formal gathering) to put aside his inhibitions and to really enjoy learning basic juggling skills! Impressive!”

The young people and staff at the Youth Centre have asked me to thank you for the Circus Skills Workshops you have been providing. The young people have had a great time and learned many new skills. The staff have also been equally impressed with your professionalism and amazing ability to engage the members. We are looking forward to the next Workshop.

Tom has inspired hundreds of young people in his career as a Youth Practitioner. He has boundless energy, creativity and enthusiasm to offer in his work. He is a highly skilled circus performer and great to work with in a team situation. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Young people found the session fun and learnt new skills. One young person said that the instructor was humorous. Tom kept an active audience for the whole session. He even encouraged young people who are difficult to engage in activities, to develop their co-ordination and skills.

Tom provided a stimulating, challenging and fun evening for our group of 25 youngsters aged 10-16yrs. He engaged the kids well and the skills he taught them provided an opportunity to feel a great sense of achievement when they mastered them. It also gave the opportunity to work with a partner or as a team. All in all, this was an excellent evening. I am already being asked to buy some plate spinning packs and some juggling balls for us all to enjoy.

Tom’s greatest strength is that he fully understands the ethos of working with young people and through his Circus Skills Workshops, provides creative activities which are challenging, educational, recreational and fun. Tom has the knowledge as a fully qualified and nationally recognised youth worker to ensure that young people work and play together in a safe environment ensuring that all abilities and disabilities are catered for. Tom is dedicated, committed and enthusiastic in his approach to working with young people. As a result of his teaching, young people grow in confidence, build up their own self esteem, make new friends, learn new skills and the young people go on to teach circus skills to their peers. I have used Tom for Diversity Festivals, Celebration of Christmas at Canterbury Cathedral, County Sports Events and International Residentials, to name but a few. Tom is great value for money and when organising a County or Local event, Tom would be top of my list in ensuring the event is a success.

We asked for Tom as his enthusiasm and professional approach create an atmosphere that is so good for our young people. The young people all had a great time and loved every minute.

As a youth project that works with young people aged 11-19, it can be hard to find activities that will engage this age group but because of his years as a youth worker, Tom at TK Arts has no problem getting young people involved in his circus skills workshops. During the 4 workshops he delivered for my project over the summer, the young people all enjoyed trying the wide range of circus equipment and Tom was very good at helping the young people get better and better! Great fun and at an excellent and affordable price – would thoroughly recommend.

I had my Beaver Group do a circus day at Camp. Tom was a great guy, very friendly and patient even with the silly beavers. He had them all captivated for the entire day even in 30c heat. The whole group are still talking about it and want him to come back again.
